Thirty minutes, free. Then you decide.

Not sure yet where AI fits in your business? Start with a free 30-minute call. We look at where your team’s hours go, name the one or two jobs worth trying first, and say plainly which to leave alone.

Opens the contact page with the subject filled in: say when suits you, and we reply with a time. By phone or video, for businesses in Edinburgh and across Scotland.

The health check

What happens in the thirty minutes.

  1. 1

    Before the call

A line or two about your business and what takes too long. We read it first, so the thirty minutes start on your work.

  2. 2

    On the call

Where your team’s hours go: the enquiries, the chasing, the paperwork, the first drafts. Then the one or two jobs AI could take on first, what each would need (your data, your tools, a person who checks), and the ones to leave alone.

  3. 3

    After it

A short note by email: the job worth trying first, roughly what it would take, and what you could do on your own or with free support. If the honest answer is that AI will not help yet, the note says that.

Who it is for

Owners and managers of businesses and charities in Edinburgh and across Scotland, in any trade. If a job comes round every week and follows much the same steps, it is worth thirty minutes.

What it is not

A sales call with another name. There is no charge and nothing to sign, and the note is yours to keep whatever you decide. Rather test a job on your own first? The free checker runs in your browser.

For your team

Half a day, with your own work.

A hands-on session at your workplace in Edinburgh, for the people who will use AI from day to day: real tasks from your own week, and the care that keeps your data where it belongs.

You keep a draft AI policy for the team, a shortlist of first jobs, and the notes from the day. The price depends on the size of the group and where it is held, so we quote for it in writing before anything is booked.

What the half day covers, with the field note behind each part

  2. Choosing an assistant your team can use safely

  3. What never goes into one: personal data and the UK GDPR

  4. A one-page AI policy, drafted together on the day

  5. The first job to hand over, and the ones to keep

What to automate first, and never
  6. How you will know it worked

Looking for funded help as well? Funding and support in Scotland

Is the AI health check really free?

Yes. Thirty minutes by phone or video, with no charge and nothing to sign. If you want help after it, you ask.

What should I have ready?

Nothing formal. A line or two about your business and the job that takes too long is plenty. If you know roughly how often that job comes round, bring that too.

Do you work outside Edinburgh?

Yes, with businesses across Scotland. The health check is a call, so it works anywhere. The half-day session is held at your workplace in Edinburgh.

What does the half day cost?

It depends on the size of the group and where it is held, so we quote for it once we know both. Ask, and the price comes back in writing before anything is booked.

Is there funding for this kind of help?

Some free support for businesses in Scotland covers first steps with AI. Our guide to funding and support lists what is open, who runs it and what it asks of you.
