One job, named. Then four phases.

Every engagement starts the same way and runs the same course, so you know before it begins what you will have at each step, and what the record will show.

How it starts

Four things, in writing.

  1. Step 1

    One job, named

Not “automate the back office”. “Package a case to this lender’s current requirements.” If you can name the job, that is the conversation.

  2. Step 2

The six records in the statement of work

What triggered each action, what it read, what it produced, who confirmed it, what they changed, and what it refused to do. Written in before anything is built.

  3. Step 3

Four to six weeks to a working agent

On real cases, with a person confirming every output.

  4. Step 4

    A review at ninety days

Against the number agreed at the start. If it did not move, we say so and you stop paying.

The phases

Four phases, in order.

Every build runs through the same four phases. The six fields of the record are written into the statement of work before anything is built, so the record is a deliverable, not a feature somebody might add later.

  1. 01 Weeks 1 to 2

    Discover

Workflows mapped, controls designed, payback ranked. Audit included.

  2. 02 Weeks 3 to 6

    Pilot

First agent live on real work, with a person in the loop.

  3. 03 Weeks 7 to 12

    Scale

The rest of your stack ships in sequence; the team is shown how it works.

  4. 04 Ongoing

    Managed

    Monitored, retrained and reported monthly.

How it is charged

The shape of the price, offer by offer.

A fixed fee to build, then a flat monthly to run. Never per task, per minute or per row: a price that climbs with your volume charges you for the thing working. The numbers come in a written quote after Discover, the first two weeks.

Offer Kind How it is charged
Enquiry handling Core offer Flat monthly per scope. Never per minute, per call or per conversation: usage pricing makes your busiest month your most expensive one and makes the quote impossible to compare against a wage.
Document chasing Core offer Flat monthly per scope, banded by case volume rather than metered by message.
First-draft writing Core offer Flat monthly per scope. Never per document, which prices your busiest month highest.
Pack and case assembly Core offer Flat monthly per scope, per recipient specification maintained.
Knowledge that cites itself Core offer Flat monthly per scope, banded by corpus size.
The audit layer In every offer Included in every other offer, and specified in the statement of work rather than an annex. Sold separately only where somebody else built the agents.
Compliance evidence work Specialist Fixed fee for the first pass across a declaration set, then flat monthly to keep watching. Never per document: the point is to look at all of them.
Data pipelines Specialist Fixed fee to build, flat monthly to run and watch. Never per row or per record.
Recruitment data Specialist Fixed fee per market study. Not a subscription to a number that has not changed.
Cleanup and security Specialist Fixed fee for the audit. The fix is quoted separately and only after you have seen the list: bundling them makes the list longer.
AI search visibility Specialist Fixed fee for the first pass, then flat monthly for the re-check clock. Never per page.
Outbound a human edits Specialist Flat monthly per seat of human review, not per email sent. Pricing per send is what produces volume nobody read.

Questions

What people ask about it.

Every question, on one page
Is there a small, free first step?

Yes: a free 30-minute AI health check by phone or video. We look at where your team’s hours go, name the one or two jobs worth trying first and the ones to leave alone, and send a short note afterwards. For a team, there is also a half-day session at your workplace in Edinburgh.

The free AI health check

Is there funding for AI projects in Scotland?

Mostly as free courses, expert time and advice: The Data Lab’s fully funded courses and expert support, Business Gateway’s advice and webinars, and Interface’s innovation vouchers with universities. Our guide lists what is open, who runs it and what it asks of you, checked against each scheme’s own page.

Funding and support in Scotland

How does it start?

With one job, named: “package a case to this lender’s current requirements”, not “automate the back office”. The six audit records are written into the statement of work before anything is built.

How we work

How long until something works?

Four to six weeks to a working agent on real cases, with a person confirming every output. The build plan runs Discover in weeks 1 to 2, Pilot in 3 to 6, the rest of the stack in 7 to 12, then managed monthly.

How we work

What if it doesn’t work?

A review at ninety days against the number agreed at the start. If it did not move, we say so and you stop paying.

How we work

What does an agent leave behind?

Six records for every action: what triggered it, what it read, what it produced, who confirmed it, what they changed, and what it refused to do. They can be exported. The record page shows a worked example, labelled as an illustration, that downloads as a CSV.

How is it charged?

A fixed fee to build, then a flat monthly to run. Never per task, per minute, per call, per document or per row. A price that climbs with your volume charges you for the thing working, and it can’t be compared with a salary. Each offer page says exactly how that offer is charged.

How each offer is charged

How much does it cost?

We publish how each offer is charged, not a price list yet. The quote for your job comes in writing after Discover, the first two weeks, with the six records in it. We would rather give you no number than one that is not written down.

One job, named. Tell us which.

A sentence is plenty: the job you would hand over first. Nothing you type is stored on this site.
